Heterodontosauridae to scale

Size comparison of the known heterodontosaurids. Most taxa were uniformly quite small, about 60-80 cm long and 20-30 cm tall; but two taxa were quite a bit bigger: Heterodontosaurus tucki was at least 100 cm long and 35 cm tall, and Lycorhinus angustidens was 90-120 cm long and 25-40 cm tall. The big range for Lycorhinus is due to the total lack of postcranial material. If Lycorhinus was large skulled like Abrictosaurus (smaller silhouette) Lycorhinus would be smaller than Heterodontosaurus, but if it was small skulled like Heterodontosaurus it would be slightly larger than Heterodontosaurus. Also of note, Fruitadens was touted in the media as the smallest non-avian dinosaur kown, but appears to be as big or bigger than five other heterodontosaurids.
